From your list to the page
Large print mode sets a minimum printed letter size of 16 pt. Available space depends on paper size, margins, and the number of grid rows and columns. More cells leave less space for each letter. The PDF layout measures its text and fits the grid within the page area. Use the displayed PDF letter size to check your chosen layout before downloading; the appearance of the screen preview alone does not establish the printed size.
If the layout would fall below 16 pt, large print export is blocked. Try fewer rows or columns, a shorter word list, or shorter words that fit a smaller grid. A smaller grid can improve letter size but also leaves less room to place words, so both checks must pass. The 16 pt threshold is WordGrid's product setting, not a guarantee that every reader will find the activity comfortable.
Choose the paper you will actually use and check the printer dialog before printing. Scaling the PDF down also reduces the letters. Print one sample at the intended size and inspect it before making copies. Browser zoom only changes the on-screen view; it does not increase the font size inside a downloaded PDF. Keep the activity and its answer key on the same paper setting so their layouts remain easy to compare.
Limits: downloads require every word to be placed. Export checks 12 mm margins and the minimum font size. Lists are stored only when you choose Save.

Start with easy difficulty and a 10 × 10 grid. Compare the displayed PDF letter size with a 20 × 20 grid on the same paper. Larger grids have less room per cell; large print download is available only when the calculated letters are at least 16 pt.
Questions about the tool
Why is large print unavailable for this grid?
The calculated letter size is below 16 pt with the selected layout. Reduce the grid dimensions or shorten the list so the words can fit in a smaller grid.
Does browser zoom make the PDF letters larger?
No. Browser zoom changes the screen view. The PDF's printed letter size comes from the generator's grid and paper settings, and the printer can reduce it further if page scaling is enabled.
Is 16 pt suitable for everyone?
It is this tool's minimum for large print mode, not a universal readability guarantee. Check the material with its intended reader and inspect a printed sample.
