From your list to the page
Enter one word per line. WordGrid removes blank lines, trims surrounding spaces, and checks the selected alphabet. Unicode normalization handles equivalent character sequences before duplicate checking. Uppercase and lowercase copies of the same word count once, and removed duplicates are reported. Use 3–40 distinct words with 2–24 letters each. Numbers, punctuation, links, and phrases with spaces are outside this version's input format.
Choose between 10 and 30 rows and columns. Easy places words to the right or down. Medium also allows diagonals toward the right. Hard allows all eight directions, including reversed words. Each word must fit an allowed direction; a crowded list can still fail to fit. The generator records and checks every placed word's path. If it reaches the work limit, it identifies words it could not place and blocks a finished download.
Choose Letter or A4 and download the puzzle, its answer key, or both. Keep the word order, seed, settings, and algorithm version to reproduce a result. You can request up to 10 versions without entering student names. Lists stay in memory unless you explicitly save on this device; saved data can be exported or deleted. Review the finished activity before sharing it, since filler checks cannot rule out every unwanted letter sequence.
Limits: downloads require every word to be placed. Export checks 12 mm margins and the minimum font size. Lists are stored only when you choose Save.

Uppercase mode produces SUN, MOON, STAR and reports one duplicate. Try easy difficulty, a 10 × 10 grid, and seed 42. Reusing the same word order, settings, seed, and algorithm version reproduces the grid and answer key.
Questions about the tool
Why was a word removed?
Blank lines do not become words. Repeated words are counted once after normalization and the selected accent setting, with duplicates reported. Invalid entries need correction; they are not silently treated as a finished list.
Why does a valid list fail to fit?
Grid dimensions, allowed directions, and overlap constraints can prevent a complete placement. Try more rows or columns, fewer words, or shorter words. The result identifies words that could not be placed.
Are my words saved automatically?
No. Your list stays in memory by default. Use the save action only if you want to keep it in this browser; you can export or delete that local saved data. Avoid personal information in activity titles and word lists.
